Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, August 15th, 2009 - Anpha Capital, a fund management company based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam hosted a dinner reception to introduce its new strategy to the market and to thank its supporters.
Anpha Capital is the first fund manager in Vietnam to sign and adopt the United Nations Principles of Responsible Investment.
Mr. Bui Cong Giang, Chief Executive Officer of Anpha Capital, said: "Our strategy is to enhance the awareness of Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters into Vietnam, and more specifically with the portfolio companies that we will work with.”
Anpha Capital will be integrating ESG matters into their investment analysis, decision making processes, and ownership policies. Furthermore, Anpha Capital will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which they invest.
Anpha Capital will be launching Vietnam’s first ESG focused investment fund and will be targeting both local and international investors.
