A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between TÜV Rheinland Vietnam, Ohm Projects and A.N.P.H.A to co-operate in development of wind energy projects in Vietnam. The three companies will bring combined competencies of wind energy development including technical and financial know-how. TÜV Rheinland Vietnam is a regional branch of TÜV Rheinland Group, a global leader in independent testing, assessment and certification services. Ohm-Projects is an expert on Renewable Energy Technology and A.N.P.H.A Joint Stock Company focuses on financing renewable energy projects in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos.
“Vietnam is one of the biggest markets in South-East Asia and will grow fast with a good chance for investments placed there. It is a good time to start up renewable energy projects - energies for the future of Vietnam, especially wind energy have a great chance here because Vietnam has one of the biggest potentials in Asia for wind resources.” Said Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Michael Ohm – General Director of Project Development – International Frankfurt / Main.
Dr. Hans Joachim Roderfeld – Managing Director of TÜV Rheinland Vietnam said:”Wind power will be a growing market in Vietnam. To ensure technical reliability over 20 years of asset operation and to guarantee project success, quality control and assurance during design, implementation and operation is compulsory, TÜV Rheinland, with its 140 years of experience in industrial services and its wind power competence center, is your ideal partner.”
“While there is no doubt that there is a great potential for developing wind power, there are certain technical and financial challenges. We expect with this new constellation of companies each with unique competencies to be able to facilitate the development of wind power in Vietnam” said Mr. Thomas Jakobsen - Head of Sustainability of A.N.P.H.A Joint Stock Company.
